The Wedding Ceremony

24th September, at 5pm
The Pump House Gallery
Battersea Park

Why here?

When we used to live near Clapham Junction we used to often come to Battersea Park on sunny days. We once stumbled upon the Pump House in the middle of the park lost amongst the trees and lakes. From then on, every time we came to the park we would try (and often fail) to find it.

What's it like?

Tiny, but great! The reception room seats 22 people and there's space for more to stand at the back and on the mezzanine upstairs. We would have loved to have invited everyone to the ceremony but we hope those that are only coming to the reception will understand that it's a really tight squeeze. However everyone is welcome to come along to the park for champagne and photographs.

How do I get there?

As the Pump House is quite hard to find, we recommend you get yourself to the reception venue (Museum of Garden History) where we have hired a red double-decker Routemaster bus to depart at 4.15pm to take everyone to the ceremony. When it arrives at Battersea Park, one of our helpers will guide you from the bus to the Pump House. The bus will then take everyone back to the reception venue after the ceremony.

If you want to make your own way there from Battersea Park railway station here is a photographic tour of the route.

We recommend using our bus or public transport. If you do drive, the carparks shown on the map of the park usually fill up early in the day so I wouldn't rely on them. Parking in the streets around the park is also very limited.

We strongly recommend you don't try to find the Pump House from the Albert Bridge Road end of the Park. It's very easy to miss it!
