Accommodation

Accommodation in London can be frighteningly expensive or if you find somewhere cheap, frighteningly shoddy. So it's well worth getting accommodation sorted in advance. Here are some hotels within walking distance of the reception venue and a couple of booking agency websites with a range of hotels at various rates. If you have any other recommendations we'll happily share them on this site.

Novotel Waterloo

This is about 50m away from the reception venue on the opposite side of the road. Rooms are currently £100 per night for a double or for a family room (2 adults and 2 children) with breakfast included. Parking is available for £20 per day. There may be parking in the streets in the area but this is not guaranteed. This isn't the cheapest hotel in South London but definitely the most convenient for the venue.

Days Inn Waterloo

This is a bit further but it is still in easy walking distance and easy to find. Room rates are currently £66.75 per double/twin room without breakfast. Breakfast is £5.95 each and parking is £10 per car but again, there might be street parking in the area. This is the cheapest one we could find in walking distance that didn't look dreadful.

This new hotel opened in mid-April. It's ultra-modern and some of the rooms have excellent river views (at extra cost). It's in easy walking distance of the reception venue just five minutes along the Thames. All rooms are well equipped and spacious. We will be staying here on the wedding night. Let us know if you intend to stay here so we can arrange to meet up for a hungover breakfast! We've been informed that the fitness centre is unlikely to be ready by September - not that we had any plans to use it. Rooms are not the cheapest in the area but there is currently an internet deal where you pay £85 plus VAT for a room. Breakfast is extra and the hotel doesn't have any parking.

Don't forget, we've hired a double decker bus to take people from outside the reception venue at 4.15pm to the ceremony venue and back again after the ceremony, so for those of you going to the ceremony it's well worth getting accommodation near the reception venue rather than the ceremony venue.
